Bryce Canyon to Zion

Day five takes us to Zion National Park. Leave the ‘classic’ Zion Canyon Trails for later, and instead explore the hidden canyons of Zion’s east side. Experienced Zion hikers/explores boast that the east side is the wild side, with less people and just as much wonder. After a morning of exploring, check into your hotel and grab lunch in Springdale, which is located just outside of Zion National Park. It was also named as one of the prettiest towns in the United States by Forbes. Then, head back into the park to take the shuttle through the most famous part of Zion National Park. Spend the afternoon hiking around or window shopping in Springdale. Don’t forget to check out Angels Landing, a dangerous hike with a rewarding viewpoint, standing 1,488 feet above the Virgin River. End the day with an off-road tour of Zion while watching the sun set over the steep canyons and green valleys.

It is the last day of the tour, but that doesn’t mean there is not more to see! As you start to head back to Salt Lake City, explore Natural Bridges National Monument. Here, you can enjoy multiple bridges and Anasazi sites from above the rim or less than 30 minutes of easy walking. Drive along roads that offer incredible, seldom seen sunrise views of the park.
